Patricia “Pat” Lohoff, a devoted mother, talented seamstress, and beloved matriarch, passed away on January 27, 2026, in San Jose, California. Born on September 18, 1939, in Wray, Colorado, she was 86 years old. She departed this life following complications with congestive heart and kidney failures.

Born Patty Lou to Berl and Hattie (Lidke) Allen, Pat was the eldest child and played a nurturing and bossy big sister role to her siblings. A precocious student, she enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder just weeks before her seventeenth birthday. She studied psychology and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. During her collegiate years, she met and married Allan Lohoff. The couple moved to Flint, Michigan, where Pat worked as a registered nurse. Their family grew with the births of their son, Vance Allan, and daughter, Janeen Sue. In 1966, the family settled in San Jose, California. While Patricia prioritized her role as a homemaker, she maintained her nursing certification and instilled a lifelong appreciation for nutrition and healthy living within her family.

Following an amicable divorce in 1995, Patricia embraced a new chapter of independence. She later met her partner, Reuven Dawer, with whom she shared a wonderful life of 25 years. They explored the world together, enjoyed the opera, and meticulously renovated a 1906 Frank Lloyd Wright-style home. Patricia was a gifted seamstress and an ardent member of the Peninsula Wearable Art Guild (PenWAG). Known for her diplomacy, she possessed a unique talent for guiding her family with wisdom, humor, and a delicate touch. She was also a prolific writer whose heartfelt letters remain treasured keepsakes.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, her son-in-law, Ed Bezona, her sister Kay Norwood, and her partner Reuven. She is survived by her brother, Harvey (Mary) Allen; her sister, Sharon (Don) Oestman; her bonus brother Jim (Julie) Norwood; her son, Vance Lohoff; and her daughter, Janeen Bezona. She was the proud grandmother of Jessica (Cayle) Harmon-Moore and Breanna (Kyle) Rodriguez, and the loving great-grandmother to Allyn, Bruce, Kolsen, and Ledger. She is also fondly remembered by a host of other relatives and friends and the Dawer family.

In her final hours, Patricia accepted the Lord into her heart, offering her family the comforting assurance of her faith. She departed with no regrets, having lived a full life surrounded by those she loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on May 2, 2026, in Beecher Island, Colorado, with a second memorial to follow in California this September.
