Marjorie Goings passed away on Feb. 25 2026 at her home, west of Wiggins co.

She was born May 18 1925 in Sandborn, Nebraska, to Henry and Golie Thompson.

Joining two older brothers Lee (deceased) and James (deceased).

She grew up on a farm east of laird, co thru the depression and the dust bowl and WWII.

Graduating Valedictorian from laird high school. She moved to Denver and became a riveter at

Continental airport, building the big bombers.

Returning to laird after the war, Marjorie married Lester J. Goings (deceased), gave birth

To two daughters. Sherry Dutton (rocky) of Wiggins co and Linda Ahlschwede-Macauley (mike)

Oklahoma City.

The family moved to Denver in 1950 and she went to work for Gates Rubber Company.

She worked there until she retired 45 years later. During those years the family traveled

Extensively, covering the entire United States from Washington D.C. and New York City to the

Golden Gate Bridge and the San Diego zoo and everything in between. She drove the Alaskan

Hwy and walked the sands of Waikiki beach in Hawaii. She also had adventures to India and

Yugoslavia later in life.

In 2000 she returned to her rural roots, settling on a piece of her brothers ranch to enjoy

her large and growing family.

Marjorie in survived by her two daughters, eight grandchildren, Deli Whomble (buck) of

Log lane village co, Stacy Robinson of Wiggins co, Tawny Robinson of Wiggins co, Tracy Dutton of

Aurora co, Cassie Dutton of Weldona co, Darcy Dutton of Aurora co, Alisha Synes (bob) of

Yukon OK, Brant Alschwede (Ashley) of Oklahoma City. There are also twenty great

Grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren.

Marjorie will be layed to her final rest March 9 2026 with a graveside service,

In Grandview Cemetery, Wray co.
