June 22, 1965 - February 6, 2026 (60 years old)

Deanne (Dee) was born in Rocky Ford, CO on June 22, 1965 and passed away on February 6, 2026 in Greeley, CO after a 4-year battle with breast cancer.

Deanne was the first born of William (Bill) Wilson and Judith (Eppinger) Wilson. She told us recently her birth “allowed the factory to continue” which brought her 2 brothers and a sister.

Dee spent most of her childhood in Wray, CO - graduating from Wray High School with the class of ‘83 - before moving to Greeley for her education at UNC. After earning her Bachelor of Business in Accounting, she ended up making the Greeley area home once she met her beloved husband, Eldon Norris. They were married at the Wray United Methodist Church in May 1991 and were blessed with 3 children - Sam, Chantal, and Danny. Chantal blessed Dee and Eldon with 2 grandsons - Casey and Daniel who brought Dee laughter, silliness, and a lot of pride.

Dee was an extraordinary person with a strong mind and a caring heart.

Dee may have thought that she didn’t live an extraordinary life, but she packed enough caring and smiles for everyone.

Deanne excelled in anything academic. At 50, she earned her MBA - something she was very proud of. She later decided to go into partnership with a colleague, Jo Ann Drago, to purchase the accounting firm they both worked at, forming Secure-Accounting Solutions.. She didn’t let cancer stop her as during her chemo treatments, she and her partner expanded their business. With her love of numbers, doing taxes was something she particularly excelled at. On the last Friday in January, she told dad “it's 1099 day.” Even when she was sick, she was thinking, processing, and doing taxes in her head. Her mind was strong right up to the end.

She loved reading, Elvis, numbers, watching her Broncos, music, comedy, family, and her grandbabies. She was always up for a trip to explore a new place, especially the many girls’ trips. The first girls trip was to Memphis to visit Graceland and the most recent girls’ trip was a weeklong Generation X Comedy Cruise with her sister Kimber in November. Deanne also enjoyed live performances - a comedy show, musical, or a concert of an 80s band that came back around.

Besides work and travel, her many hobbies included all kinds of crafts, knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, and sewing. Her newest hobby was building Legos with her grandsons. Her perfect day would be in her recliner, watching the Broncos with Elvis playing in the background and her working on taxes, reading a book, or crafting… sometimes trying to do it all at once.

Deanne also cornered the family’s odd sense of humor and loved to laugh. Even in the hospital, she found things to laugh about and things to say to make us laugh.

Deanne is survived by her husband Eldon Norris, their children Sam Norris, Chantal (Adrian) Norris, Dan (Daelynn) Norris; her grandsons Casey Norris and Daniel Norris; her parents, Bill Wilson and Judy Wilson; her brothers Terry Wilson and Erik (Katie) Wilson, her sister Kimber (Tim) Householder; her sisters-in-law Sheila Fulton, Linda Norris, and Pam (Dan) Worster; her nieces Brenda (Rob) Hoge, Shannon Millican, and Eden Wilson; nephews Daren (Barb) Fulton, Justin (Julie) Fulton, Cory Worster, Will (Allison) Norris, and Kavan Wilson; her mother-in-law Doris Sacket; her aunts Joyce Meads, Karen (Mike) Floeter, and Julie (Paul) Trujillo, and uncle Bob (Judy) Wilson and many very loved cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents George and Jessie Eppinger and Clyde and Edna Mae Wilson, her step-grandfather Elihue Tucker, her father-in-law Buster Norris, and her uncle Rich Wilson.

Celebrations of life will be held on March 6, 2026, at 2pm at Wray United Methodist Church in Wray, CO and on March 7, 2026, from 1 - 4 pm at VFW Post 2121 in Greeley, CO.
