Charles Lee Reiman

Charles Lee Reiman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, at the age of 94.

Charles was born on March 25, 1932, to Charles and Sophia (Reining) Reiman. He attended school through the eighth grade before leaving school to stay home and help his family on the farm. In April of 1952, Charles enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country until receiving an honorable discharge in August 1956.

On December 27, 1956, Charles married the love of his life, Shirley Ellis. Together, they made their home in Wray, Colorado, where they raised their family and built a life filled with love, hard work, and many cherished memories. Their marriage was blessed with eight children, who became the heart of their family and brought them many years of joy and treasured memories.

Charles worked at the Vets Club for many years before later working for the Wray United Postal Service. He was a familiar and beloved face in the Wray community. He was a proud member of the VFW and American Legion and participated in the Color Guard, honoring and remembering those who served our country. Charles also took great pride in making sure the flags were properly displayed throughout the community. This was a responsibility he took seriously and was proud to do in honor of his fellow veterans and his country.

Charles also loved being involved in his community. For many years, he oversaw the annual Easter egg hunt and was involved with Huck Finn Day, helping create special memories and traditions for children and families in the Wray community. His dedication to these events reflected his love for his community and his enjoyment of seeing others have a good time.

One of the highlights of Charles day was going to the Wray Market for coffee with the guys. After coffee, he would head to the WRAC, where he enjoyed taking his daily walk. Charles also enjoyed playing cards and shooting pool at the Vets Club, spending time with friends and family and enjoying the good company and conversation that came with it. These daily routines, along with the conversations and friendships he made along the way, were an important and special part of his life.

Charles also took great pride in his garden. He had a large garden where he grew all kinds of fresh produce, but everyone knew his tomatoes were something special. He loved sharing them with family, friends and neighbors, often handing them out to anyone who stopped by. He also loved pheasant hunting and treasured the time spent in the outdoors with his sons and grandsons. Those hunting days created special memories and traditions that will be cherished by his family for years to come.

Charles loved his family deeply and was proud of each one of them. His family was his greatest treasure, and the love he gave them will continue to live on for generations.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Reiman: his daughter Terri Bliven: his great-grandson, Trace Alexander: his parents, Charles and Sophia Reiman: and his siblings, Gilbert, Bernard, Wilbur, Eugene, Evelyn, Robert, Patricia and Catherine.

He Is survived by his children, Sherrie Long, Greg Reiman, Kent Reiman, Mike Reiman, Pat Reiman, Merrie Flores, and Carrie True, and their spouses: 26 grandchildren and their spouses; 38 great-grandchildren; his brothers Jim and John Reiman; and many other family members and friends, all of whom he loved deeply.

Charles leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of love that will continue through his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all those whose lives he touched. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that his love, his stories, his wisdom, and his memory will remain in their hearts forever.

A Rosary will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Wray on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Andrew Catholic Church on Thursday July 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Grandview Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be made to the WRAC, 700 Main Street, Wray, Co 80758. Jones Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the services.
