Bernice Margaret Muller

Bernice Margaret (Downey) Muller passed away on August 8th, 2026, at the age of 89 years.
Bernice was born January 18, 1937 in Wray, Colorado to Frank & Sophia Downey. She was the 9th of 10 children. She graduated from Wray High School in 1954 and was a cheerleader for the Wray Eagles. She married Richard (Dick) Muller in 1955. They lived in Wray, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, and settled in Greeley, CO. Bernice graduated from Cosmetology school in 1971. She had a successful salon in their home and enjoyed practicing her profession for many years while also raising 3 sons and 1 daughter. She loved flowers and especially growing plants. She was a wonderful cook & made delicious baked goodies. Bernice had a wonderful sense of humor. Dick & Bernice did everything together & were rarely apart. They enjoyed attending the yearly class reunions in Wray & having a good time. They loved to dance together. She loved being a wife, mother, aunt, grandmother & great-grandmother. She will be missed by many. Bernice was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Dick, and son, Mark. Bernice loved the Lord and attended Saint Mary’s Catholic Church for many years. She is survived by her son, Charles (Chuck); daughter, Roma Weinkauf (Rick), and son, Michael (Pam). 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Donald, and sister, Jeanie.
